Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (CA), Call for San Francisco Bay Area Applicants: YBCA Fellows Program 2017 – 2018 , with honorarium
Deadline: May 1st, 2017, midnight PST
From their call:  The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) Fellows program brings together creative citizens from across the San Francisco Bay Area – artists and everyday people alike – to engage in a yearlong process of inquiry, dialogue, and project generation. Each Fellowship cohort will explore and respond to a question that emerged from our annual YBCA 100 summit. Together, they’ll use art and culture to inspire community transformation. Fellows projects will be presented during our Fellows Forum (February) or as Public Programs (March – June) and can take the form of panels, performance or visual presentations, writing, screenings, visual arts, workshops, etc. These projects provide platforms to share new ideas and information to inspire new possibilities into the public imagination. $1,000 honorarium.
Each cohort will grapple with one of the following questions and will require event and meeting attendance throughout the year.
How do we find and empower TRUTH? & Where is our PUBLIC IMAGINATION? (June 2017 – June 2018, monthly commitment)
Can we make CREATIVE DISSENT matter? (3x week Summer Intensive June 2017 – August 2017)

This fellowship will be a joint collaboration between the California College of the Arts, San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco State University, the University of California at Berkeley, Associación de Arte Útil and the Fellows Program at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA).
