Chalk Hill Artist Residency is now accepting applications for 2017. Our residency program supports artists of all mediums in their creative process by offering time and space to be immersed in their craft.We provide housing and workspace at the historic Warnecke Ranch and Vineyards, on the Russian River in Healdsburg, California.The program is interested in established, emerging and outsider artists.

Chalk Hill Artist Residency located the Warnecke Ranch. We are a 5th and 6th generation Sonoma County family and our original ranch parcel has been in the family for over 100 years (1911-2015). The 265-acre ranch with 1.5 Russian River frontage includes the Myaacama and Brooks creeks tributaries, the historic Chalk Hill, a lake/reservoir and a pond, as well as an 80 acre vineyard. Nearest town: Healdsburg, 1.5 hours north of San Francisco. Nearest airport: Santa Rosa (STS) or San Francisco International.
