Opening This Saturday
We're keeping it local. Join us Saturday night for the long-awaited Modern Eden solo debut of San Francisco-based artist Monty Guy and a group show project featuring narrative works by local artists in Tales of the City.
In Fallen Angels, Monty Guy explores his personal fallen heroes, portrayed alongside twice life size portraits of the #27Club. Guy's portraits expose the vulnerable nature of celebrity, the pressure of substances, and the innocence and brevity of these forever children—funereally depicted icons of our collective fandom—portrayed in their youth, yet surrounded by the trappings of their tragic early demise.
San Francisco is a city that has historically inspired creatives and artists and has been a haven for free-thinkers. The current environment of rapid development and culture shifts have changed the way we are able to live, work, and survive, particularly in the creative community. We invited artists with a connection to San Francisco to create a work inspired by The City by the Bay. Whether it’s a love story or one of more heartbreak or struggle, these are the artistic narratives that make up the City, past and present.
Featuring new works by Robert Bowen, Amandalynn, Doug Rhodes, Steve Javiel, Brett Crawford, Kim Huynh, Joshua Lawyer, Ransom & Mitchell, Mary Syring, MJ Lindo, Adam Caldwell, Amy Ahlstrom, Mel Alves, Leon Loucheur, Abel Manalo, Michael Cuffe, Elizabeth Ashcroft, Gillian Keller, Alec Huxley, Matt Hunter, Max Ehrman, Spencer Davie, Dianne Hoffman & Paul Madonna.
All remaining originals and prints from our booth last week at SCOPE Miami Beach are now online at the link below. A special thanks to all the fans, friends, and collectors that stopped by. We had such an incredible time meeting all of you!
