Ohlone College Day of the Dead Celebration

Good Morning Ohlone!

I would like to extend a warm welcome back to you, and invite you and your students to attend the Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. This event is hosted by the Ohlone Puente Club and the Ohlone Library, taking place next Monday & Tuesday, in the Fremont Ohlone Library.


Activities during this two day event include:


Monday 10/29/12: Fremont Ohlone Library

 -11am-1pm:
      Ohlone Campus Clubs Altar Building
 -12pm-1pm:
      Paper Flower Making
      Face painting
      Candle Decorating
      Mexican bread and Mexican hot chocolate for sale
      Live cultural music



Tuesday 10/30/12: Fremont Ohlone Library

 -11:30-1:30
    Ohlone Chicano Studies & History Instructor Ralph De Unamuno will give a presentation on the history & meaning of Dia de los Muertos in the Western Hemisphere.
