“Social justice with a historical flair.” This is artist V.L. Cox‘s description for the style and inspiration of her art.

Cox is well known for her take on social issues such as equality, racism, and religion. She recently had an exhibition titled Break Glass: A Conversation to End Hate at Longwood University, just over an hour south of Richmond. The exhibit used different forms of art, such as sculptures and mixed media, to highlight social tensions in today’s America.
