For Artists Living Near Palo Alto: Studio Space

Artists, Makers, and other creative individuals in the Bay Area with a visual element to their work have just two weeks left to apply for studio space at the Cubberley Artists Studio Program in Palo Alto

Dear Kenney,

Just a reminder that through July 1, 2014, the City of Palo Alto is accepting applications from artists, makers, and other creative individuals who desire their own studio workspace. We have updated the program and invite you to apply!

If you are interested in a collaborative or individual workspace that will advance your creative work, whether as a painter, printmaker, new media artist, public artist, poet, graphic novelist or other arts discipline, please visit our site to find out about the application process.

The Cubberley Artist Studio Program, halfway between San Francisco and San Jose, has 23 artist studios, and plans to create an on-site "Cultural Cafe" for the public to enjoy exhibitions of artists' work and cultural programming. Rent -- including utilities and wi-fi internet -- is heavily subsidized by the City of Palo Alto. Artists can be in residence in this supportive community for up to two four-year terms, beginning in October 2014.

Whether you are a current Cubberley artist or a prospective applicant, our FAQ/application guide will help you through the application process and provide answers to frequently asked questions. Read the press release for background information, and then apply to the program via the CaFE' website.

Please share this information with your artist and creative friends who could benefit from their own studio space! The deadline to apply is July 1, 2014.

We want to support artists and the creative sector in our region! Check out the complete guidelines and application.

The Cubberley Artist Studio Program is forming a new creative community. Non-traditional arts disciplines encouraged -- we welcome all media! We hope you can join and be a part of the Cubberley Artist Studio Program! Questions? Contact Nadya Chuprina via email, or call 650-329-2227.
