Centrum Artists in Residence Program

Centrum's Artist Residency Program was established in 1980 as a resource for artists and creative thinkers of all genres. Residency projects can be focused on a single genre or be a multidisciplinary undertaking, and might be the creative work of an individual or encompass the collaborative work of a group. In partnership with the Fort Worden PDA, Centrum is able to offer an opportunity to selected artists to live and work in this magnificent setting at a significantly reduced cost. Residents also have the opportunity to work with our campus partners Corvidae Press (a printmaking studio), Madrona MindBody Institute, Port Townsend Marine Science Center, and Rainshadow Recording Studio (by prior arrangement). Copper Canyon Poetry press (a nationally acclaimed publisher of poetry, with an impressive list of award winning titles and authors) is also a resident on campus.
