Tuesday

About the Workshop:
Ginsburg will assist and critique each student's painting daily and he will give short painting demonstrations as a teaching tool each day. Students will paint and develop their own work during the bulk of each session. We will focus on "Painting From Life" in the traditional realist manner of the Old Masters.

The approach will be alla prima, or direct wet on wet oil painting; first blocking in the larger forms or shapes, then developing the smaller forms and details.
About Max Ginsburg:
Ginsburg's paintings are in many museums and private collections including The Butler Institute of American Art, The New Britain Museum, The Society of Illustrators Museum, The Salmagundi Club, The Art Renewal Center, and The Martin Luther King Labor Center 1199. He has exhibited his fine art since 1953 but from 1980 - 2004 he painted illustrations commissioned by major publishing companies.  Ginsburg has taught art for over 50 years
