The California Arts Council will meet on Thursday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City. The public is invited to attend and to address the Council during the public comment period. A detailed meeting agenda is available here.

After four years as chair of the National Endowment for the Arts, Jane Chu completes her term on Monday, June 4. The CAC is grateful for her superior direction, empowering State Arts Agencies, shepherding initiatives like Creativity Connects and Creative Forces, and serving as the lead arts champion for the whole of the nation. Last week saw the end of a collaborative, industrious grant panel season at the California Arts Council.
