Council meeting: Next week in Irvine The California Arts Council will hold its first business meeting of 2018 on January 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the OC Music & Dance Center in Irvine. The public is invited to attend and to address the Council during the public comment period. A detailed meeting agenda is available here. Filing your taxes this weekend? Help Keep Arts in Schools! It's tax time! Be a champion for arts education when filing by making a contribution to the Keep Arts in Schools Fund. 100% of your tax-deductible contribution is applied to arts education programming supported by the California Arts Council. Get the details on how to donate here. CAC grant opportunities: Have you applied yet? Application deadlines are around the corner for many of our grant programs! If you've applied in the past and were not selected for an award, don't be discouraged - refer to your panel notes, speak with our knowledgeable Programs staff, and make use of our online resources. New funding opportunity: Serving youth in state Juvenile Justice facilities through the arts This year, we’re offering two grant strands for the JUMP StArts program: a grant opportunity supporting work at county and community-based facilities, plus a brand new opportunity supporting work at state Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) facilities.
