The Aging Workgroup of the Pennsylvania Commission on LGBTQ Affairs is soliciting feedback on how the next State Plan can better meet the growing needs of LGBTQ older Pennsylvanians. LGBTQ community members and service providers who work with older adults are all invited to take this survey. The data collected through this survey is anonymous. It will be used to support the Aging Workgroup’s advocacy toward full inclusion of LGBTQ people and older adults living with HIV into Pennsylvania’s 2020-2024 State Plan on Aging.

Based in Philadelphia, MOVES is a collective of Black and Brown LGBTQ people who come together to host creative and social spaces. Annual events include the JUICE Summer festival, FADE QTPOC party, and pop-up art, music, and film showcases.

With no time machine on hand, the next best thing is to write a letter to your past self. Writing this letter might sound like an ineffective way to heal your mental wounds, but it can actually be highly therapeutic. It can help you gain clarity, closure and a peace of mind. It can also help you forgive yourself and others

Join translator and queer ally Dr. Stephanie Schechner for a celebration of the life and works of Mireille Best (1943–2005), a working-class French lesbian author whose brilliant contributions to LGBTQ+ fiction are yet to be fully appreciated.
Dr. Schechner (Widener University, PA) will give a talk on Mireille Best, with readings from 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙊𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧, first published in 1988 and now available in English on Seagull's Pride List. |

Welcome to the Ironside Playhouse: Photos, Film, and Ephemera from the Jack Van Alstyne Collection

For over three decades Jack Van Alstyne—known to many as "Cheezits"—captured in print and on film intimate depictions of his friends and acquaintances in the Philadelphia area. This included the many parties he hosted in his Camden, New Jersey home, affectionately known as the "Ironside Playhouse," where absolutely anyone was welcome and accepted.
Our galleries are available in the lobby whenever the center is open.
