Using traditional realist styles of the Old Masters, students master the Alla Prima approach, a wet-on-wet oil painting technique. This style of study focuses on blocking in larger forms, then painting in the smaller shapes and details, developing a high degree of naturalism in each student’s oil painting skills. The five-day fine art workshop combines an in-depth mix of demonstration, critiques, and assistance by instructor and renowned artist Max Ginsburg. Each student will paint and develop his or her own piece during the bulk of the class, with education and guidance where necessary.
