Our next trip to the east coast will leave Santa Fe on Saturday, August 8.  On this trip we’re anticipating the following general route:  Denver, Kansas City, Chicago, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Atlanta, Nashville, Oklahoma City, and return to Santa Fe.  The schedule and route is flexible based on your needs so please call or email our office for details.  For those of you in Oklahoma and Texas please make arrangements for us to collect your artwork the week of 07/27 and for those of you in Arizona and California please make arrangements for us to collect your artwork the week of 08/03 in order to make the transfer for the east coast shuttle.

Our Arizona / California / Nevada truck generally follows this route: New Mexico - Albuquerque, Las Cruces; Arizona - Tucson, Scottsdale, Phoenix; California - Palm Springs, San Diego, Los Angeles, Carmel, San Francisco, Sacramento; Nevada - Reno, Tahoe, Las Vegas; Arizona - Sedona, Flagstaff, Winslow; New Mexico - Gallup, Grants, Albuquerque, Santa Fe.

Our Oklahoma / Texas truck generally follows this route: Texas - Amarillo; Oklahoma - Tulsa, Oklahoma City; Texas - Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Marfa, Midland; New Mexico - Carlsbad, Roswell, Santa Fe.

I came across Michel El Hachem work on Facebook the other day.  It doesn't look like he has a gallery representing him but he does have a couple of pages that you can look at.

I wanted to share his art because it's funny, well executed, stylish and deals with paint and formal issues of painting in a way that I really really like.

He also seems to have his finger on the pulse of what's going on in the art world so I think you might want to check him out.

Emlen Etting had a lifelong interest in capturing the likenesses of handsome, glamorous friends, and he traveled in a prestigious circle of artists, writers and wealthy clients. Little is known about Leon Daniellen, but the expressive eyes, sharply etched face, and sensuous mouth captured by the artist suggest a life of beauty and sorrow. Perhaps because he sometimes collaborated with writers to illustrate books, Etting would sometimes layer text over his paintings, as he does here. Etting exhibited, over a long lifetime of painting, in more than 30 one-man and multiple-artist shows in Philadelphia, New York, Paris, and elsewhere, and his works were purchased by museums and collectors such as Walter Annenberg, Helen Hayes, and Mary Clark Rockefeller. This drawing is one of several purchased from his estate.
